What does a Cat6 S/FTP network cable do?
A Cat6 S/FTP network cable provides a stable internet connection between your router, switch or modem and devices such as computers, printers or IP phones. The S/FTP type means the cable has extra shielding against electromagnetic interference, which ensures more reliable data transmission in office environments with a lot of electronic equipment.

Why choose a 20-metre length?
This 20-metre cable gives you enough flexibility to connect devices on different floors or at the other end of the office. You are not limited to short distances and do not need to couple multiple cables, which benefits connection quality.

Advantages of the shielding and copper conductors
The PIMF shielding (Pairs in Metal Foil) protects each wire pair individually against interference from other electronic devices. The copper conductors (AWG 27/7) guarantee good conduction of the data signal. The gold-plated contacts on the RJ45 connectors prevent corrosion and ensure a durable connection.

Practical details for use
The LSZH sheath is suitable for professional environments because it emits fewer harmful gases when heated. The grey colour does not stand out in standard office settings. The cable has a 1:1 wiring, meaning both ends are wired identically – this is the standard for direct device connections. Please make sure your devices support Cat6 to get the best out of the cable quality.
