When do you need a Cat6 network patch cable?
A network patch cable is used to connect devices to your network or router. Cat6 cables are suitable for fast internet connections and reliable data transmission in your office or home working environment. You need this cable when you want to connect computers, printers, switches or other network equipment to your network.

Why choose a shielded S/FTP variant?
This LogiLink cable is shielded (PIMF), which means it offers protection against electromagnetic interference. This is particularly important in office environments where a lot of electronic equipment is present that can cause interference. The shielded design ensures a more stable connection than standard unshielded cables.

Reliable copper conductors with gold-plated contacts
The cable is made up of copper wires (AWG 27/7) and has gold-plated contacts on the RJ45 connectors. These gold-plated contacts ensure better conductivity and are less susceptible to corrosion. The moulded cover protects the connection against damage, while the blue strain relief protects the cable when it is bent.

Practical details for use
With a length of 2 metres, you have sufficient reach for most office setups without excess cable. The LSZH jacket (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) is safer in the event of fire because it produces fewer harmful fumes. The cable has a 1:1 wiring scheme, which means that all eight wires are directly connected through - this is the standard for modern network applications.
