When do you need a Cat 6 network cable?
A Cat 6 network cable is used to connect devices directly to your router, switch or modem for a stable internet connection. This is essential when you need reliable network performance for workstations, printers, NAS systems or other equipment that requires a wired connection.

Why choose a 10 metre length?
With a length of 10 metres, this cable provides sufficient reach to connect devices that are a bit further from your network point. You can easily run it from one room to another, or from your desk to a printer or server further away in the room, without the cable being pulled taut.

What do U/UTP and the Cat 6 specification mean?
This cable is made as U/UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) to the Cat 6 standard. The 1:1 wiring ensures that both ends are connected identically, which is the standard for normal network connections. The CCA conductors and gold-plated contacts in the RJ45 connectors contribute to good signal transmission.

Practical tip for installation
When routing the cable, note that it is white – it is less conspicuous along white skirting boards or walls. The moulded RJ45 connectors have a strain relief that prevents the cable from being damaged when it is frequently plugged and unplugged. Before use, check that both devices have RJ45 network ports.
