What does a Cat. 8.1 patch cable do?
A patch cable connects your network equipment, such as computers, switches and routers, to each other. Cat. 8.1 is the latest standard, supporting extremely high data speeds of up to 40 Gigabits per second. You need this type of cable when you work with advanced network applications that require maximum bandwidth.

Why choose a 1 metre length?
This 1 metre length is ideal for short connections in server cabinets, between switches, or from switch to patch panel. Thanks to the short length, you minimise signal loss and keep your workspace tidy. For longer distances in office environments, however, this length is too short.

Professional shielding against interference
The S/FTP shielding (geschirmt PIMF) with copper wires ensures that electromagnetic interference from outside cannot disrupt your network traffic. This is especially important in environments with a lot of electrical equipment. The gold-plated contacts prevent corrosion and guarantee a stable connection over a long period.

Practical details for use
This cable uses AWG 26/7 specification with 1:1 wiring, which means both ends are wired identically. The LSZH sheath produces less smoke and toxic gases when heated than standard PVC. Please note that your network equipment must support Cat. 8.1 to benefit fully from the high speeds – otherwise the cable will still work, but not at maximum capacity.
