What is reserve gouache paint and when do you need it?
Reserve gouache paint is intended to top up empty paint pans in your existing paint set. You need this when a colour in your paint palette has run out, especially with colours you use often, such as yellow. Instead of buying an entire new paint set, you can refill individual colours.

Why choose this particular yellow variant?
This yellow gouache paint with number 59a has been specially developed for Pelikan standard school paint sets with grey paint pans. The yellow pigment is a basic colour that often runs out first, because you need it for many colour mixes and bright accents in your artwork.

How does refilling your paint set work?
This reserve gouache paint fits exactly into the standard grey paint pans of Pelikan school paint sets. The paint has the same consistency and quality as the original colours in your set, so you won't notice any difference in how the paint behaves or mixes. This ensures a seamless top-up of your existing materials.

Practical tip for replacing
When ordering, look for reference number 59a for the yellow colour, so you can be sure you get the right shade. The new article number is 400142602, but this product replaces the older number 807958. Keep the packaging until you are sure the colour matches your existing paint set.
