shiverpeaks fibre optic cable SC-duplex OM5, 2.0 metres, light green

This OM5 fibre optic cable takes your network to the next level, with speeds up to 400 Gbit/s for modern data centres.‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍ Thanks to SWDM and WBMMF technology, you efficiently combine multiple signals over a single cable, and the clear light green colour makes identification in the server rack a breeze.‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍

When do you need a fibre optic cable?
A fibre optic cable is used for fast and stable data connections over longer distances in professional network environments. This technology is essential when you need to transport large volumes of data between network equipment, servers or data centres without any loss of quality.

Why choose OM5 multimode?
OM5 is the latest generation of multimode fibre, specially developed for modern data applications. This cable supports short wave division multiplexing (SWDM) and wideband multimode technology, allowing you to use multiple wavelengths simultaneously over a single fibre. This enables more efficient use of your infrastructure.

Impressive data speeds up to 400 Gbit/s
This cable can handle data speeds up to 400 Gbit/s, which is ideal for future-proof network installations. The 50/125 micrometre core ensures optimal light transmission, while the duplex configuration enables bidirectional communication. The ABS material of the connectors provides durability and reliable connections.

Easy identification through colour coding
The light green colour of the cable and grey SC connectors follow international standards for OM5 identification. This prevents confusion with other cable types in your network installation. The 2.0 metre length offers sufficient flexibility for connections within server cabinets or between nearby equipment, without unnecessary cable length wasting space.
