When do you need a fineliner?
A fineliner is ideal for precise drawing, technical sketches and detailed work where you need thin, crisp lines. The STABILO point 88 in rust brown is perfect when you want to move away from standard black or blue, for example for specific colour coding in drawings or to highlight certain elements.

Why choose a 0.4 mm line width?
With a line width of 0.4 mm, you can draw fine details without the line becoming too thin to be clearly visible. This width provides sufficient contrast on paper while still allowing you to work accurately. The metal-cased nib (metal tip) keeps the line width consistent, even after prolonged use.

Suitable for use with tools
This fineliner is ruler- and stencil-compatible, which means you can use rulers and templates with it without any problems. The tip is sturdy enough to draw along straight edges without bending or becoming damaged. This makes the pen very suitable for technical drawing and architectural sketches.

Practical benefits of the design
The hexagonal shape (Seckskant-Form) prevents the pen from rolling off your desk and sits comfortably in your hand. The ventilated cap ensures you won't suffocate if you accidentally swallow it, while the high drying-out protection (hoher Austrocknungsschutz) keeps the tip moist for a long time, even if you forget to put the cap back on.
