When do you need a 3B pencil?
A pencil with a 3B grade is ideal for drawing, sketching and artistic work where you want to create dark, soft lines. This soft graphite grade produces deeper black tones than standard school pencils and erases easily, making it perfect for shading and creating transitions in drawings.

Why choose the hexagonal shape?
The hexagonal shape of this STABILO pencil provides a comfortable grip and prevents the pencil from rolling off your desk. This ergonomic shape sits steadily in your hand, allowing you to work more accurately and making cramp less likely during prolonged use. The green lacquer finish also gives the pencil a professional look.

Advantage of the break-resistant lead
This pencil features a break-resistant lead of 2.55 mm thickness, which means the graphite core is less likely to snap during use. This is especially useful with the soft 3B grade, which is naturally more prone to breaking than harder varieties. You can therefore apply more pressure without the tip constantly breaking off.

Practical tip for optimal use
Sharpen this pencil with a quality sharpener suitable for the 2.55 mm lead diameter. By regularly sharpening the soft 3B graphite, you maintain fine line control. Store the pencil lying down in a pencil case or pencil tray to prevent damage to the tip, and use a kneaded eraser to remove excess graphite while drawing.
