When do you need a 2B pencil?
A 2B pencil is softer than standard HB pencils and leaves a darker line. You choose 2B when you want to write smoothly, sketch, or need dark lines that remain easy to rub out. This type of pencil is ideal for creative work, notes and drawings where you want more expression in your lines.

Why choose this green lacquered pencil?
This STABILO Othello pencil has a green lacquered finish that sets it apart from standard pencils. The lacquered surface provides a pleasant grip and protects the wood against moisture and wear. You'll easily recognise this pencil among other writing equipment thanks to its striking green colour.

Advantage of the break-resistant lead
The lead of this pencil is break-resistant, which means it is less likely to snap during use. This is especially practical when writing or drawing intensively, as you are interrupted less often by broken points. The 2.2 mm lead diameter gives you a good balance between fine lines and durability.

Practical tip for optimal use
Sharpen this pencil with a quality sharpener to get the best performance from the soft 2B lead. Because of the break-resistant property, you can apply slightly more pressure than with ordinary pencils, but take care not to damage the point. Store the pencil horizontally to keep the lead in optimal condition.
