When do you use masking tape?

You use masking tape when you want to create a sharp paint line or protect surfaces during painting or finishing work. This WESTEX STRONG Washi masking tape is intended for situations where ordinary masking tape falls short, for example with multiple layers of masking or on surfaces that are slightly damp.

Why this size and this variant?

With a width of 25 mm and a roll length of 50 m, this tape is suitable both for smaller, precise masking jobs and for larger projects where you need many metres. The red colour makes the tape clearly visible against the work surface, which keeps your work tidy and reduces the chance of forgetting strips.

Strengths, honestly explained

This Washi masking tape is reinforced with fibres, giving it a tear resistance you don't always find with standard paper masking tape. Its high wet strength also makes it usable on slightly damp surfaces, which is handy for outdoor work or in humid rooms. In addition, the tape is UV-resistant up to UV60, so it retains its properties when exposed to sunlight, which is important if you use it outdoors for a while.

Practical tip for use

Thanks to the fact that it unrolls very easily, you work quickly and without fuss, even with longer strips. The tape is suitable for double masking, which means you can place it over a piece of tape applied earlier for extra sealing. When removing it, make sure you do so within the recommended exposure time to prevent adhesive residue; check the packaging for this.
