Protect your privacy on your 15.6-inch laptop with this black LEITZ privacy filter. Onlookers will only see a dark screen when viewing at an angle, while you keep a clear view and protect your eyes thanks to the built-in blue light filter.
When do you choose this product?
What is a privacy filter used for?
In the office or in public spaces such as trains, cafés or libraries, your screen is often visible to people nearby. A privacy filter sits over your monitor and ensures that only you, sitting directly in front of the screen, can clearly see the content. This is especially useful if you work with confidential documents, customer details or company information.
Does this filter fit your laptop?
This LEITZ privacy filter has been specifically developed for laptop screens with a diagonal of 15.6 inches and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Always check both the screen diagonal and the aspect ratio of your laptop before purchasing, as a filter with the wrong ratio will not fit your screen properly. The 16:10 ratio is slightly narrower than the commonly used 16:9, so this makes a real difference in the fit.
What exactly does this filter do?
The filter darkens the view from an angle of 30 degrees to the side, so that onlookers see a dark screen. In addition, it has an anti-reflective coating that reduces disturbing reflections, and it is fitted with a blue light filter that limits the amount of blue light reaching your eyes. The filter also protects your screen against scratches and other damage. Touchscreen use remains possible, which is handy if your laptop has a touch display.
Fitting and use
The packaging includes both self-adhesive strips and holder tabs, so you can attach the filter in two ways. With the tabs you can easily remove and reposition the filter, for example if you switch between home and office. Choose the adhesive strips if you want to fix the filter permanently to one laptop.
