This sturdy Canson drawing pad is ideal for all your dry techniques such as pencil, charcoal or pastel. Thanks to the lightly grained texture and the handy A5 format, you can quickly work out your sketches wherever you are.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a sketchbook with a light grain?
A sketchbook with a light grain is ideal when you work with dry drawing techniques such as pencil, charcoal, pastel or chalk. The lightly textured surface offers just enough grip to hold pigment, allowing you to create beautiful transitions and shadows without the paper feeling too rough.
Why choose the A5 format?
The A5 format (148 x 210 mm) is perfect for sketches, studies and smaller works that you can take with you wherever you go. This compact size fits easily in a bag or backpack, making it ideal for drawing on the move or in smaller workspaces where a large sketchbook would be cumbersome.
The benefits of 224 g/m² paper weight
At 224 g/m², this paper offers a sturdy foundation that withstands intensive use. The weight ensures the paper doesn't easily sag or tear, even when erasing vigorously or building up multiple layers. This durability makes it suitable for all dry drawing techniques without you having to worry about show-through.
Practical to use thanks to the short-edge binding
The block is glued along the short edge, which means you can easily turn the sheets like a notebook. This makes it convenient to quickly flip through your sketches or to create multiple studies side by side. Once finished, you can simply tear the sheet away from the glued edge.
