What is this sketch pad for?
This CANSON sketch pad has been specially developed for all dry drawing techniques such as pencil, charcoal, pastel and chalk. The lightly textured surface of the paper ensures that dry materials adhere well to the surface, allowing you to create expressive drawings with good pigment pick-up.

Why choose this A4 format?
With the A4 format of 210 x 297 mm, you have plenty of room for extensive sketches and studies, while the pad remains compact enough to take with you or keep on your drawing table. The 30 sheets provide a good supply for longer drawing projects without the pad becoming too thick to work with comfortably.

What does the lightly textured surface mean?
The light texture gives the paper just enough grain to hold dry drawing materials well, without the texture becoming too dominant in your drawing. This makes it suitable for both detailed studies and more expressive, loose sketches.

Practical design for drawing
The pad is glued along the short edge, which means you can easily flip the sheets from top to bottom while drawing. This binding keeps the pad stable when lying flat and means you won't be hindered by a side spiral or glued edge while working on your drawings.
