When do you need this sketch pad?
The CANSON C à grain sketch pad is designed for all dry drawing techniques such as pencil, charcoal, pastel and chalk. You choose this paper when you want drawings in which the texture of the paper contributes to the final result. The slightly grained surface ensures that dry materials adhere well to the paper.

Why the A4 format and 30 sheets are practical
With 30 sheets in A4 format (210 x 297 mm), you have enough paper for a series of drawings or a long-term project. The pad is glued along the short edge, so you can easily tear off a sheet without damaging the rest of the pad. This format fits standard folders perfectly and is ideal for both studio and outdoor work.

The importance of 180 g/m² paper weight
The paper weight of 180 g/m² makes this drawing paper resistant to intensive use. This weight is heavy enough to handle multiple layers of material without the paper sagging or tearing, yet light enough to work with comfortably. The paper retains its shape, even with vigorous drawing movements.

Compatibility with your drawing equipment
Thanks to the slightly grained texture, this paper works optimally with all dry drawing materials. Graphite pencils glide smoothly over the surface, while charcoal and pastel get good grip on the grain. Store the pad flat and dry to prevent warping, and always tear carefully along the glued edge to maintain a neat finish.
