What is this sketchbook and when do you need it?
This CANSON Figueras sketchbook has been specially developed for oil paintings and oil-based pastel techniques. The paper has a linen texture that imitates the texture of real canvas, giving you the authentic painting experience without having to use a stretched canvas. The block is ideal when you want to experiment with oil paint or when you are looking for a portable alternative to traditional canvases.

Why choose this sketchbook?
This compact format is perfect for studies, sketches and smaller artworks. You can easily take it with you in your art bag, and it is large enough for detailed work. The format offers sufficient space for portrait studies or landscape sketches without requiring a lot of working space.

Strengths of the linen-textured paper
The paper is sturdy enough to carry oil-based media without tearing or becoming saturated. The linen texture gives your brush the right resistance and ensures a natural spread of paint. The paper is acid-free and resistant to ageing, which means your artworks will retain their colour and quality over the years.

Practical tip for use
The block is glued along the short side, so you can easily peel off the sheets one by one. Thanks to the bleed-through protection, you can work comfortably without the paint seeping through the paper. This makes the block particularly economical to use.
