When do you need this special sketch pad?
The CANSON Figueras sketch pad has been specially developed for oil paint and oil pastels. You choose this product when you want to work with these techniques but don't want to use a stretched canvas or canvas board. The linen texture gives you the same feeling as painting on linen, but in a handy pad format.

Why this format of 300 × 400 mm?
This A3-like format gives you enough space for detailed studies and smaller paintings. It is large enough for expressive brushstrokes with oil paint, yet remains manageable for detailed work. With 10 sheets, you get enough paper for a series of experiments or studies.

Bleed-through technology for oily materials
The most important feature is the built-in bleed-through barrier. This means that oil from your paint does not seep through the paper to the next sheets. You can therefore work carefree with oil paint and oil pastels without your underlying sheets being damaged by seeping oil.
