What are watercolour pencils and when do you use them?
Watercolour pencils combine the convenience of coloured pencils with the possibilities of watercolour paint. You draw dry first, then add water with a brush to create watercolour effects. This makes them ideal for artists who want to experiment with different techniques within a single piece.

Why choose a set of 18 colours?
With 18 carefully selected colours, you have a complete basic palette for most projects. The set includes essential colours such as white, grey, black and primary colours, supplemented with specific shades such as ultramarine blue, malachite green and burnt sienna. This combination gives you plenty of options for colour mixing and shading.

Soft core for optimal water blending
These pencils have a soft core of 3.8 mm thickness, which ensures good pigment release. When you add water, the colour dissolves easily and you can create smooth transitions. The cedar wood barrel with a hexagonal shape sits comfortably in your hand and won't roll off your worktable.

Practical storage in a metal tin
The included metal tin protects your pencils from breaking and keeps them neatly organised. For the best results, use watercolour paper that can absorb moisture. Always start with light pressure when drawing, so you can easily add water later without damaging the paper.
