What are watercolour pencils and when do you need them?
Watercolour pencils combine the ease of pencils with the expressiveness of watercolour paint. You use them dry for detailed drawings, or add water to create watercolour effects. This technique is ideal for artists who want to experiment with different styles in a single work, from sharp lines to soft colour transitions.

Why choose a set of 30 colours?
With 30 different colours, you have an extensive base for a wide range of projects. The colour selection includes all primary colours, earth tones such as siena gebrannt and umbra natur, plus distinctive shades such as jade and jeansblau. This broad spectrum allows you to create realistic landscapes, portraits and abstract works without constantly having to mix colours.

Soft drawing core of 3.8 mm for optimal colour release
These pencils have a soft core with a thickness of 3.8 mm, which ensures rich colour release and a smooth texture. The soft composition makes it easy to colour in areas and provides good solubility when you add water. The cedarwood casing offers a stable covering that is easy to sharpen.

Practical storage in metal tin
The supplied metal tin keeps your pencils organised and protected. The hexagonal shape of the pencils prevents them from rolling off your drawing table. For the best results, use watercolour paper or mixed media paper that can withstand moisture when you use the watercolour function.
