What does this brush pen do and when do you need it?
The Faber-Castell PITT artist pen is a professional drawing pen filled with pigmented drawing ink. You use this pen for technical drawing, artistic illustrations, calligraphy and other precision work where you need permanent, lightfast lines. Thanks to the special ink formulation, your drawings stay clear for years and do not fade.

Why choose the brush tip variant?
This pen has a brush tip that gives you a line width of 1.0 to 5.0 mm. With it, you create variable line thicknesses by adjusting the pressure and angle of your hand. This makes the pen ideal for expressive drawings, shading techniques and calligraphy work where you want to create both fine details and broader accents.

Permanent and waterproof properties
The pigmented drawing ink is waterproof and permanent once dry. This means your drawing is resistant to moisture and you can later work over it with other materials without the lines running. The ink is also acid-free, so your paper will not discolour over time, and odourless during use.

Practical details for optimal use
The pen has a clip on the cap for convenient storage in your pencil case or on your drawing board. Always store the pen horizontally or with the tip pointing downwards to prevent it from drying out. The indanthrene blue colour (number 247) is a deep, rich blue shade that combines well with other colours from the PITT artist pen range for colourful illustrations.
