Perfect for labelling CDs and DVDs! This erasable marker dries super quickly and gives clear, crisp lines. The water-based ink means you can easily correct mistakes.
When do you choose this product?
For Labelling CDs and DVDs
This Faber-Castell marker is specifically designed for labelling CDs and DVDs. Use it when you want to clearly mark your burned discs with titles, dates or other information. The marker works perfectly on the reflective surfaces of optical media without damaging them.
Why the 0.8 mm Tip Width Is Ideal
With its fine 0.8 mm tip, you get exactly the right line width for clear text on the limited surface of a CD or DVD label. The tip is thin enough for neat lettering, yet thick enough to write easily legible text. The metal casing of the tip provides extra durability with regular use.
Erasable and Water-Soluble
The great advantage of this marker is that it is water-soluble and therefore erasable. This means you can correct mistakes or replace old labels when you reuse a disc. The ink is at the same time colour-intensive and sharp-edged, so your text remains clearly legible.
Quick Drying for Efficient Work
The ink dries within a few seconds, which is practical when you want to label several CDs or DVDs one after another. You don't have to wait between writing and storing your discs. Only use markers that are specifically suitable for optical media to avoid damaging the data layer.

Dex knows - user tips
No hazard statements have been provided. Now the usage tip: the Faber-Castell Multimark 151499 is a waterproof OHP/CD/DVD marker. A well-known usage tip for this type of marker is that the ink on smooth surfaces (such as CDs/DVDs and transparencies) needs to dry before you touch the surface — the product description confirms this ("sekundenschnell trocken", meaning "dries in seconds"), which indicates that quick drying is a deliberate feature. That is a relevant usage tip.
Allow the ink to dry completely before touching or stacking the written surface, even though the marker dries within a few seconds.
