When do you need a short network cable?
This 0.25 metre Cat.6 network cable is ideal for short connections in your workspace. You use it when you want to connect devices that are close together, such as a computer and a switch on the same desk, or for connections in a patch cabinet where long cables simply become messy.

Why choose Cat.6 in this length?
Cat.6 cables support speeds up to 1 Gigabit and are suitable for modern office environments. The very short length of 0.25 metres gives a tidy appearance without unnecessary cable length hanging in the way. This is more practical than a standard 1 or 2 metre cable when your devices are placed directly next to each other.

What does U/UTP mean for your situation?
This cable is unshielded (U/UTP), which means it has no additional protection against electromagnetic interference. For short connections in normal office environments, this is entirely sufficient. The CCA conductors and PVC sheath make the cable suitable for standard network applications where you don't need extreme performance.

Note the colour coding
The yellow colour with yellow strain relief makes this cable easy to identify in your network installation. The RJ45 connectors have gold-plated contacts for a reliable connection. The cable has a 1:1 wiring, which means both ends are wired identically – standard for ordinary network connections between a computer and a switch or router.
