When do you need a Cat6 network cable?
A Cat6 U/UTP network cable is used to reliably connect computers, printers, switches or other network equipment to one another. This cable is suitable for modern office environments where you need stable internet connections and fast data transmission within the local network.

Why choose a 5-metre length?
With 5 metres you have enough reach to connect equipment in the same room or between adjacent workstations without excess cable. This length offers flexibility when arranging your workspace, while you avoid having unnecessary metres of cable lying around that cause clutter.

What does U/UTP mean and why is it practical?
U/UTP stands for unshielded twisted pair, which means this cable has no additional shielding. This makes the cable more flexible and easier to install than shielded variants. For standard office environments without extreme electromagnetic interference, this type of cable is entirely sufficient and more cost-effective.

Practical details for the connection
The cable has a 1:1 wiring, which means both ends are wired identically – this is the standard for direct connections between devices and switches. The gold-plated contacts in the RJ45 connectors ensure better conduction and less oxidation. Please note that both devices you are connecting must be fitted with standard RJ45 Ethernet ports.
