What does this patch cable do, and when do you need it?
A Cat. 5e patch cable connects network equipment such as computers, switches and routers for internet connections and data transfer. You need this cable when you want to connect devices in your network over a short distance, for example between your computer and a switch, or between network components in a server room.

Why choose this 0.5 metre length?
At a length of 0.5 metres, this patch cable is ideal for connections over very short distances. This compact length prevents unnecessary cable clutter in your network cabinet or when connecting devices standing close together. You keep your workspace tidy, without excess cable length getting in the way.

What does Cat. 5e U/UTP mean for your connection?
Cat. 5e supports data speeds up to 1000 Mbps (1 Gigabit) and is suitable for standard internet connections and office networks. The U/UTP type means the cable is unshielded, which provides sufficient protection for normal office environments without strong electromagnetic interference. The 1:1 wiring ensures that all eight wires are connected straight through.

Practical details for optimal use
The gold-plated contacts in the RJ45 connectors ensure a stable connection and prevent corrosion over time. The black strain relief protects the cable against breakage when bent. Please note that both devices you want to connect must have an RJ45 Ethernet port - this is standard on computers, switches and routers.
