When do you need a Cat. 8.1 patch cable?
A Cat. 8.1 patch cable is used for the fastest network connections in professional environments. This type of cable is designed for applications requiring extremely high data speeds, such as server rooms, data centres or high-end workstations. You need this cable when standard Cat. 5e or Cat. 6 cables are too slow for your network equipment.

Why a 2 metre length is practical
The 2 metre length offers sufficient flexibility for most office and server applications without unnecessary excess cable. This length is ideal for connections between nearby devices such as switches, routers and servers in a rack, or between your computer and a network switch under your desk.

Shielding for stable connections
The S/FTP shielding (PIMF) ensures that external electromagnetic interference does not disrupt your network connection. The shielded RJ45 connectors with an enlarged housing and gold-plated contacts guarantee a reliable connection. This is essential in environments with a lot of electronic equipment that can cause interference.

Compatibility and practical details
This patch cable works with all standard network ports that support RJ45. The 1:1 wiring means the cable is suitable for normal network connections between devices. The LSZH jacket produces fewer harmful fumes when heated, which is important in office environments. You can easily recognise the cable specifications by the category and cable type printed on the cable itself.
