This Cat. 8.1 cable gives you super-fast and stable network connections, ideal for heavy data flows in the office. Thanks to the shielding and gold-plated contacts, the connection remains interference-free, and the LSZH sheath provides extra safety.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a Cat. 8.1 network cable?
Cat. 8.1 cables are designed for professional network environments where extremely high data speeds are required. You choose this cable when you want to connect servers, switches or other network equipment that deliver higher performance than standard Cat. 5e or Cat. 6 can support. At 5 metres in length, this cable offers sufficient flexibility for connections within a server room or between nearby devices.
Why the shielded S/FTP version?
The S/FTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) construction with PIMF shielding protects your data signals against electromagnetic interference. This double protection is essential in environments with a lot of electrical equipment, such as data centres or technical rooms. The copper wires with AWG 26/7 specification ensure stable signal transmission at these high frequencies.
LSZH sheath for safe installation
The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath is specially developed for installations where fire safety is crucial. When heated, this sheath produces minimal smoke and no toxic halogens, which significantly increases safety in enclosed spaces such as office buildings. The moulded connector with strain relief prevents cable breakage during repeated use.
Installation and compatibility
The 1:1 wiring provides a direct connection of all eight wires, making the cable suitable for all standard Ethernet applications. The gold-plated contacts in the RJ45 connectors reduce corrosion and maintain optimal signal transmission. Please note that both devices must support Cat. 8.1 to fully benefit from the higher performance.
