What are refills for paint boxes?
These Pelikan refills are intended to refill empty paint pans in your standard paint box with Payne's grey. If you paint regularly with gouache, certain colours run out faster than others. Instead of buying a completely new paint box, you can selectively top up only the colours you use most.

Why choose this Payne's grey refill?
Payne's grey is a widely used colour for mixing shades and creating shadows in your artwork. This specific refill fits Pelikan's standard paint boxes, so you can top up cost-consciously. You don't have to wait until your entire paint box is empty, but can continue painting straight away.

Suitable for grey paint pans
These refills are specially developed for the grey paint pans found in Pelikan's standard paint boxes. The gouache has the same quality as the original filling, so you won't notice any difference in colour intensity or workability. This guarantees a consistent painting experience.

Checking compatibility
Before ordering, check whether your paint box indeed has the standard Pelikan version with grey paint pans. The refill has reference number 300008806, which is the newer version of the older article number 808220 23. Both numbers refer to the same product, so you can also use this refill if you have an older paint box.
