When do you need a pigment marker?
A pigment marker such as the POSCA PC-3M is used when you want to draw or mark on different materials with an opaque, waterproof ink. Unlike ordinary felt-tip pens, this marker works on virtually all surfaces, from paper and cardboard to glass, metal and plastic. You need this marker for creative projects, personalising objects, or professional marking where durability is important.

Why choose the round tip variant?
The round tip of 0.9–1.3 mm gives you the perfect balance between precision and coverage. This tip width is ideal for both fine details and filling in smaller areas. The round shape ensures a natural line quality and makes the marker suitable for various drawing and writing techniques, from thin lines to broader strokes by varying the pressure.

What makes pigment ink special?
Pigment ink differs from ordinary ink in that it consists of fine colour particles that sit on the surface instead of soaking into it. This gives you a highly opaque colour that remains clearly visible even on dark backgrounds. Once dry, the ink is lightfast and waterproof, so your creations stay beautiful for a long time.

Practical tip for optimal use
Always shake the marker well before use so the pigments are evenly distributed. Always test first in an inconspicuous spot on the material, especially on porous surfaces. Always replace the cap firmly after use to prevent the ink from drying out. On smooth surfaces such as glass, you can remove the ink with a damp cloth before it has fully cured.
