When do you use professional oil paint?
Oil paint is the traditional choice for artists who want to work with a medium that dries slowly and offers excellent mixing possibilities. You use oil paint when you need time to mix colours, want to create gradual transitions or wish to work out details without the paint drying too quickly.

Why choose the 40 ml tube?
The 40 ml size offers a good balance between price and quantity for regular use. This tube size is practical for artists who paint regularly but do not immediately need large amounts. For Raw Umber, a frequently used earth colour, this size is ideal because you use this shade often for mixing and as a base colour.

What makes this paint quality special?
This Rembrandt oil paint stands out for its even viscosity, allowing you to work consistently without unexpected thick or thin patches in your paint. The high-quality pigments ensure that the colours retain their intensity, while the high level of lightfastness means your paintings keep their colour when exposed to light.

Practical tip for use
Raw Umber is an essential earth colour that you can use to tone down other colours or to mix realistic skin tones. Always store the tube with the cap tightly closed and lay it flat to prevent it from drying out. Because oil paint dries slowly, you can still make changes to your work days later.
