When do you need professional oil paint?
Oil paint is the choice of serious artists who want slow drying times and rich colours. You use oil paint when you want time to mix colours and work out details, because this paint dries much more slowly than acrylic or watercolour. Vandijkbruin is a classic, warm dark brown shade that is essential for portraits, landscapes and mixing natural skin tones.

Why choose the 40 ml tube?
The 40 ml size offers a good balance between stock and shelf life for regular painters. This tube size is ideal if you use Vandijkbruin regularly but not in very large quantities. The size prevents waste because oil paint keeps well in a sealed tube, yet still gives you enough paint for several paintings.

What does the even viscosity mean?
Royal Talens Rembrandt oil paint has a consistent, even viscosity, meaning the paint always has the same smooth texture. This ensures your paint behaves predictably when mixing and applying. The high-quality pigments provide intense colour strength, while the maximum lightfastness guarantees that your painting will not fade under normal lighting conditions.

Practical tip for optimal use
Always keep your tube tightly capped and store it lying down in a cool, dry place. Vandijkbruin mixes excellently with other earth tones and white to create different brown shades. To clean your brushes after using this oil paint, you need turpentine or another oil paint solvent.
