This Van Gogh cat's tongue brush, size 14, gives you exactly the control you need for oil and acrylic work. The fine synthetic hairs and nickel-plated brass ferrule ensure durable use and beautiful line work in your painting.
When do you choose this product?
What does this brush do and when do you need it?
The Van Gogh oil/acrylic brush 296 is specifically designed for painting with both oil paint and acrylic paint. You need this brush when you want to paint versatilely without having to switch brushes between different types of paint. The synthetic bristles make this possible because they withstand both types of paint.
Why choose the cat's tongue shape in size 14?
The cat's tongue shape combines the best of flat and round brushes. This shape gives you the control of a flat brush for broad strokes, while the rounded tip allows for precision work. Size 14 is ideal for medium-sized areas and details, so you can work on both larger surfaces and finer elements.
Synthetic bristles for optimal versatility
The gold-coloured synthetic fibres are specially developed for use with different types of paint. These fibres retain their shape better than natural hair and are easier to clean. Thanks to the fine structure of the synthetic bristles, you get an even paint release, which ensures smooth brushstrokes without streaking.
Practical details for long-term use
The brush has a long handle with a glossy lacquer coating, which provides a comfortable grip when painting at an easel or at a table. The flattened brass ferrule is seamlessly nickel-plated, so the bristles stay firmly in place and the brush lasts a long time. Clean the brush after use with the appropriate solvents: turpentine for oil paint and water for acrylic paint.
