This high-quality watercolour brush with synthetic fibres gives you beautiful results when painting. The flat shape is ideal for broad areas, and the sturdy brass ferrule provides years of creative enjoyment.
When do you choose this product?
What does this watercolour brush do?
This Van Gogh watercolour brush has been specially developed for watercolour and aquarelle techniques. Thanks to its flat shape, you can paint broad areas as well as draw sharp lines by using the side of the brush. The synthetic hair offers a good balance between water absorption and control over the application of paint.
Why choose size 6 and a flat shape?
Size 6 is a versatile medium-sized brush suitable for both detail work and broader areas. The flat shape (Gussow) gives you more options than a round brush: you can use it for washes, draw lines and create textures. This size is ideal if you want one brush for different techniques within the same artwork.
Benefits of synthetic fibres
The gold-coloured synthetic fibres are more durable than natural hair and retain their shape better after use. They are less susceptible to damage from paint and water, so the brush lasts longer. Moreover, synthetic brushes are suitable for all types of watercolour paint and deliver a consistent paint release.
Practical features for everyday use
The nickel-plated brass ferrule keeps the hairs firmly in place and prevents water from getting between the ferrule and the handle. The short, lacquered handle gives you more control during detail work and sits comfortably in the hand. Always clean the brush thoroughly after use and let it dry flat to extend its lifespan.
