This quality brush with gold synthetic bristles gives you precise control when painting in watercolour. The flat shape is ideal for areas and details, while the sturdy brass ferrule will last for years.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a flat watercolour brush?
Flat watercolour brushes are indispensable for creating broad, even areas of colour and applying washes in watercolour work. You need this brush shape when you want to fill large surfaces, draw straight lines or create sharp edges in your painting.
Why choose size 8?
Size 8 is the ideal middle ground between precision and surface coverage. This size gives you enough control for detail work, yet is wide enough to colour larger areas efficiently. It is a versatile size suitable for both beginners and experienced watercolourists.
Benefits of synthetic hair
The synthetic hair of this brush, in a golden finish, offers consistent performance and is particularly suited to watercolour paint. Synthetic fibres keep their shape well and are easier to clean than natural hair. They respond predictably to water and paint, which is important for controlling watercolour techniques.
Practical details for long-term use
The seamless nickel-plated brass ferrule ensures the brush hairs stay firmly in place and prevents paint from building up in the seams. The short, glossy lacquered handle gives you good control while painting. Always rinse the brush thoroughly after use and let it dry flat to retain its shape.
