When do you need a Cat. 6 network cable?
You use a Cat. 6 network cable to connect computers, printers, switches or other network equipment to each other via a wired network. This cable is essential when you need a stable internet connection or want to connect devices in your office to the local network.

Why choose a 5-metre length?
With 5 metres you have enough length to position equipment flexibly without the cable being too short. This length is ideal for connections within a single room, for example from your computer to the router, or to connect a printer that is a few metres away.

What do U/UTP and unshielded design mean?
This cable has a U/UTP (unshielded) design, which means there is no extra metal shielding around the wires. For most office environments this is sufficient, as there are no heavy electromagnetic interferences that could disrupt signal transmission. The 1:1 wiring ensures that all eight wires run through from one connector to the other.

Practical details for use
The cable has gold-plated contacts that prevent corrosion and guarantee a stable connection. The grey strain relief protects against cable breakage at the connectors. Please note that this cable has CCA wires instead of pure copper – this is suitable for shorter connections and normal office use, but less suitable for very long distances or professional data centres.
