What does this network cable do and when do you need it?
Cat 8.1 network cables are designed for the most demanding network connections where maximum speed and stability are required. You use this cable when you need to connect professional equipment that handles high data speeds, such as servers, switches or high-end workstations. The 10 metre length offers sufficient reach for connections within office spaces or between equipment in a server room.

Why Cat 8.1 is the right choice for professional use
Cat 8.1 represents the latest generation of network cables and offers significantly better performance than older categories. This cable supports the highest data speeds currently possible over copper connections. It is the logical choice when you are investing in future-proof network infrastructure or when your current Cat 6 or Cat 7 cables are limiting the performance of your network.

Why a shielded design is essential
This cable has an S/FTP (shielded) construction with PIMF shielding, which means each wire pair is individually shielded against electromagnetic interference. In professional environments with a lot of electronic equipment, this prevents signal loss and connection problems. The gold-plated contacts ensure optimal conductivity and prevent corrosion during long-term use.

Practical details for installation
The cable has an LSZH sheath that does not emit toxic gases when heated, which is important for use in office buildings. The RJ45 connectors are shielded and have a reinforced housing for extra sturdiness. Please note that both end devices must support Cat 8.1 in order to benefit fully from the performance - otherwise the speed will automatically be scaled down to the lowest level in the connection chain.
