When should you choose a sketch pad with a light grain?
This sketch pad has been specially developed for all dry drawing techniques such as pencil, charcoal, chalk and pastel. The lightly grained texture gives your drawing material the right grip, so you can work precisely without your medium slipping away. You need this type of paper when you want to create detailed work or when you want to combine different dry materials in one drawing.

Why A3 format is the practical choice
With dimensions of 297 x 420 mm, this A3 format offers enough space for extensive compositions without becoming unwieldy. This format is ideal for portraits, landscapes and technical sketches where you want to retain both detail and overview. It also fits in most drawing portfolios and on standard drawing tables.

The benefit of 224 g/m² paper weight
This paper weight makes the sheet resistant to intensive use with various drawing materials. The paper does not curl easily and can withstand considerable rubbing and erasing. Thanks to its sturdy character, you can also apply multiple layers without the paper being damaged or pierced, which is especially important when building up shadows and textures.

Practical tip for use
The block is glued along the short edge, so you can easily tear off the sheets without damaging the sheet underneath. Store unused sheets dry and flat to prevent creasing. The paper works best at room temperature, as extreme cold or heat can affect the grain structure.
