With this Canson drawing pad you bring all your creative ideas to life. The lightly grained 180 g/m² paper is sturdy enough for all dry drawing techniques and gives your work a lovely texture.
When do you choose this product?
When should you choose a sketch pad with a light grain?
The CANSON C à grain sketch pad has been specially developed for all dry drawing techniques such as pencil, charcoal, pastel and chalk. The lightly textured paper surface ensures optimal grip for your drawing material, giving you more control over lines and hatching. This makes the sketch pad ideal for both sketching and finished drawings.
Why A5 format with 30 sheets?
The compact A5 format of 148 x 210 mm makes this sketch pad perfect for on the go or when you have limited workspace. With 30 sheets you have enough paper for a series of sketches or studies, without the pad becoming too thick to work with comfortably. The binding on the short side makes the pad easy to handle while you draw.
Sturdiness thanks to 180 g/m² paper weight
The paper weight of 180 g/m² offers the resistance you need for intensive drawing work. This weight prevents imprints on underlying sheets and provides a stable surface, even with firm strokes or erasing. The paper is strong enough to handle several layers of material without being damaged.
Practical tip for optimal use
Thanks to the glued binding, all sheets stay neatly in place while you draw. Always start with light strokes to get a feel for how the paper responds to your drawing material. The light grain works best with soft pencils (2B and softer) and gives beautiful effects with pastel techniques. Store the pad lying flat to prevent the paper from warping.
