What does this drawing paper do, and when do you need it?
CANSON Mi-Teintes drawing paper is specially developed for dry drawing techniques such as pencil, chalk, charcoal and pastel. You use this paper when you want to create artistic drawings that need more body and texture than ordinary copy paper can offer. The violet shade provides a warm, coloured background that immediately gives your drawings more atmosphere.

Why choose this 500 × 650 mm size?
This large format gives you room for extensive compositions and detailed work without being limited by the edge of the paper. With dimensions of 500 × 650 mm, you have enough working space for portraits, landscapes or abstract works. The size is large enough for serious artistic work, yet still manageable for home use.

Why 160 g/m² makes the difference
The paper weight of 160 g/m² ensures the paper is sturdy enough to carry multiple layers of material without tearing or sagging. This thickness prevents your drawing from creasing while you work and gives you the freedom to apply techniques such as blending and rubbing out without damaging the paper.

Practical tip for optimal use
The pack of 10 sheets is ideal for trying out different techniques on the same type of paper. Store unused sheets flat and dry to prevent creasing. The violet paper works particularly well with contrasting colours such as yellow, white and light blue, which immediately give your drawings more depth.
