When do you need a quality drawing pencil?
The CASTELL 9000 pencil is ideal for sketching, drawing and writing where you want a rich graphite output. This is perfect for artistic work, shading techniques and detailed drawing where you want to create depth and contrast.

Why choose this hexagonal shape?
The hexagonal design stops the pencil from rolling off your drawing table and sits steadily in your hand during use. This shape offers more grip than round pencils and reduces hand fatigue during long drawing sessions. For technical drawing and precise work, the hexagon gives you more control over your line work.

Protection against breakage thanks to special bonding
This pencil features a break-resistant construction thanks to a special bonding technique that protects the graphite lead of approximately 2 mm against breaking. This feature makes the pencil more reliable during intensive use and means you need to sharpen less often due to lead splinters.

Durable lacquer for long-lasting use
The green lacquer is applied using water-based lacquer technology, which provides a durable and environmentally friendly finish. This lacquer protects the wood against moisture and wear, so the pencil retains its professional appearance for longer. The green colour scheme also helps you quickly recognise this particular pencil in your pencil collection.
