When do you need a jumbo colouring pencil?
This Faber-Castell Jumbo GRIP colouring pencil has been specially developed for young children who are still learning to draw and colour. The extra-thick 5.3 mm lead makes the pencil much sturdier than regular colouring pencils, so it is less likely to break during enthusiastic use. The chocolate brown colour is perfect for drawing tree trunks, hair or warm details in drawings.

Why choose the triangular shape?
The triangular shape of this pencil helps children automatically develop the correct pencil grip. Their fingers naturally fall into the right place, which prevents writer's cramp and improves hand motor skills. This makes it ideal for toddlers and children in the first school years who are still developing their fine motor skills.

Benefits of the soft-grip zone
The soft-grip zone provides extra comfort while colouring and prevents small fingers from slipping off the pencil. This gives children more control over their colouring and reduces hand fatigue. The grip is especially useful during longer craft sessions or art lessons at school.

Practical features for everyday use
This colouring pencil is watercolour-erasable, which means you can wash the colour out with water for watercolour effects. The pencil is 175 mm long and features a handy name field where you can write your child's name. This helps prevent the pencil from getting lost at school or during playdates.
