For whom are jumbo colouring pencils intended?
Jumbo colouring pencils have been specially developed for beginner artists and children who are still learning to write and draw. The extra-thick shape sits more securely in small hands and helps develop the correct pencil grip. You use this type of pencil when regular colouring pencils are still too thin to hold comfortably.

Why choose the triangular shape?
The triangular shape of this Faber-Castell pencil ensures a natural and relaxed position of your fingers. Combined with the Soft-Grip Zone, the pencil won't slip out of your grasp while you're drawing. This shape is especially helpful for children in learning the correct tripod grip, which is important later on for writing.

What does the 5.3 mm lead diameter mean?
With a lead diameter of 5.3 mm, this is a genuine jumbo variant that is much thicker than standard colouring pencils. This thick lead breaks less easily, even with somewhat firmer use. In addition, the broad tip allows you to colour both fine details and large areas, which is particularly useful for creative projects.

Practical features for everyday use
This colouring pencil is water-soluble, which means you can wash out the colour with a wet brush for watercolour effects. The name field on the pencil prevents it from getting lost in the classroom or at home. With a length of 175 mm, it has a comfortable size that feels neither too long nor too short during use.
