When do you need extremely matt drawing and sketching material?

This Faber-Castell PITT GRAPHITE Matt pencil is specifically developed for artists working on drawings where reflection is distracting. The matt graphite release reduces light reflection on the paper, so your work remains more visible under different lighting conditions. This makes the pencil ideal for professional presentations and detailed drawing work.

Why choose hardness grade 14B?

The 14B hardness grade is one of the softest grades available and produces extremely dark, rich lines. With this soft graphite you can achieve deep black tones and quickly fill in broad areas. This pencil is perfect for expressive shadow areas, dramatic contrasts and artistic techniques where maximum tonal density is desired.

What does the matt graphite composition mean?

The special matt graphite composition distinguishes this pencil from ordinary drawing pencils. Whereas regular pencils often have a glossy release that reflects light, this formula provides a completely matt finish. This results in an even, velvety texture on paper without distracting glare, which is essential for professional drawing work.

Practical advantages for intensive use

The pencil is lacquered with water-based varnish and made extra break-resistant, so it withstands the pressure that arises when working with soft graphite grades. The reinforced construction prevents the soft core from breaking during use. Store the pencil horizontally to protect the graphite core optimally, and use a quality sharpener for the best point.
