When do you need a matt graphite pencil?
This PITT GRAPHITE Matt pencil has been specifically developed for artists and illustrators who work with graphite but suffer from annoying reflections on paper. The extremely matt nature of the graphite deposit ensures that your drawing shows no gloss, which is essential for professional artworks and technical drawings where light reflection impairs visibility.

Why choose HB hardness?
HB hardness offers the perfect balance between a dark line and sufficient control over your drawing. With this degree of hardness, you get a soft graphite deposit that still isn't too dark, so you can create both fine details and broader shading without the pencil feeling too hard or too soft while you draw.

Advantage of extreme matteness
What makes this pencil special is the reduced reflection produced by the specially developed matt graphite composition. This means your drawings look more professional and photograph or scan better, as no glossy spots appear to disrupt the lines. The high tonal density allows you to achieve deep blacks without any shine.

Practical durability
The pencil is lacquered with water-based lacquer and made extra break-resistant, which means the graphite lead is less likely to snap during intensive use. This is especially useful if you do a lot of detailed work or often erase and redraw, as the pencil withstands the mechanical stress that comes with it.
