When do you need a Cat. 5e network cable?
You use this Cat. 5e U/UTP cable to connect devices to your business network. Think of connecting computers, printers, switches or other network equipment to your router or network switch. Cat. 5e cables are suitable for standard office networks where you need reliable internet connections.

Why choose a 30-metre length?
With 30 metres you can easily bridge the distance between different floors or rooms in an office building. This length gives you enough flexibility to position equipment without having to join several shorter cables. For example, you can run from the meter cupboard on the ground floor to a workstation on the first floor.

What does U/UTP and unshielded mean?
This cable has no additional shielding around the inner conductors (U/UTP stands for Unshielded Twisted Pair). This makes the cable lighter and more flexible than shielded variants. For standard office environments without extreme electromagnetic interference, this unshielded design is entirely sufficient and cost-effective.

Practical details for installation
The cable has AWG 26/7 conductors with a 1:1 wiring, meaning both ends are wired identically. The RJ45 connectors have gold-plated contacts for better corrosion resistance, and the grey strain relief boots protect against cable breakage when frequently moved. The cable print lets you see at a glance which cable type you are using, which is handy during maintenance or network expansion.
