What does a Cat. 5e patch cable do?
A patch cable connects network equipment such as computers, switches and routers to each other or to the network. You need this type of cable when you want a reliable internet connection between devices in office or home environments. Cat. 5e cables are suitable for standard network connections and offer sufficient bandwidth for everyday internet use.

Why choose a 5-metre length?
This 5-metre length gives you flexibility when connecting devices that are further apart. It is ideal for connections between different rooms or from workstation to patch panel. The length ensures your cable is not too short, while excess cable length is kept to a minimum for a neat setup.

Unshielded construction for standard applications
This patch cable has an unshielded (U/UTP) construction with CCA conductors and a PVC jacket. The gold-plated contacts ensure a stable connection and reduce corrosion. These specifications make the cable suitable for standard office environments where extreme electromagnetic interference does not occur.

Practical identification and connection
The red strain relief boot helps you identify and organise different network connections. The cable has 1:1 wiring, meaning both ends are wired identically – this is the standard for patch cables. Simply plug the RJ45 connectors into any network device with a standard Ethernet port.
