What does a pigment marker do and when do you need one?
A pigment marker such as this POSCA PC-8K is ideal for creative projects where you want to apply bold, opaque colours. The pigment gives an intense colour that stays clearly visible on a variety of surfaces. You mainly use this marker for art projects, decoration, signage, or when you want to colour large areas with a rich violet shade.

Why choose the 8.0 mm bullet tip variant?
The bullet tip (Keilspitze) with an 8.0 mm line width gives you plenty of versatility in your work. With the broad side of the tip you can create thick lines and quickly fill large surfaces, while the narrow side of the wedge lets you add more precise details. This width is perfect for medium to large projects where you need both areas of colour and lines.

Advantages of pigment over ordinary ink
Pigment markers cover better than standard felt-tip pens and are more lightfast. The violet colour stays bright and fades less quickly when exposed to light. The pigment also gives a matt finish that looks professional and reflects less than glossy ink types.

Practical tip for optimal use
Store the POSCA PC-8K horizontally to keep the ink evenly distributed. Shake the marker before use and test first on a scrap piece to find the right pressure on the bullet tip. By using the tip at different angles, you can easily switch between broad areas and narrower lines within the same project.
