This Van Gogh watercolour brush with synthetic fibres gives you the control you need for precise details. The flat shape is ideal for areas and lines, while the short handle provides stable guidance.
When do you choose this product?
What does this watercolour brush do?
A flat watercolour brush is indispensable for applying washes, creating broad strokes and blending colours on paper. This Van Gogh brush, size 2, is ideal for medium-sized areas and details where you need more control than with large brushes.
Why choose a flat shape?
The flat shape (Gussow) allows you to paint both broad areas and sharp lines by using the brush on its edge. With size 2 you find the perfect balance between precision and coverage, making this brush suitable for both beginner and advanced watercolour painters.
Synthetic fibres for watercolour work
This brush is made with gold-coloured synthetic fibres specially developed for watercolour paint. Synthetic hairs are more durable than natural hairs and retain their shape better after intensive use. They absorb enough water for watercolour techniques but also release it well for an even distribution of colour.
Durable construction and maintenance
The nickel-plated brass ferrule ensures that the hairs stay firmly in place and do not come loose while painting. The short, lacquered handle gives you good control over your brushstrokes. Always rinse the brush thoroughly with lukewarm water after use and let it dry flat to prolong its lifespan.
