When do you choose this product?
When do you need a flat watercolour brush?
A flat watercolour brush is used for painting broad areas, straight lines and sharp edges in watercolour paint. This type of brush is indispensable when you want to fill large surfaces, lay down backgrounds or create geometric shapes with clean edges. The flat shape gives you more control over the application of paint than round brushes do.
Why size 24 is the right choice
Size 24 is a medium-sized flat brush that offers versatility in your watercolour work. You can use it to paint larger areas and still add enough detail. This size is ideal when you are working on paintings of A4 size or larger, but also want to be able to work out details without constantly having to switch brushes.
Synthetic fibres for watercolour
This brush has gold-coloured synthetic fibres that have been specially developed for watercolour paint. Synthetic hairs hold water well and release the paint gradually, which is important for the watercolour technique. They retain their shape well and are more durable than natural hairs, so you will enjoy your brush for longer.
Practical details for optimal use
The brush has a short, glossy lacquered handle that sits comfortably in the hand while painting. The seamlessly nickel-plated copper ferrule ensures that the hairs stay firmly in place and do not come loose during use. Always rinse your brush thoroughly after use and let it dry flat to extend its lifespan.
