This Cat. 6A network cable is specially developed for outdoor applications where you need a stable internet connection. Use this cable when you need to connect network equipment outside, such as security cameras, Wi-Fi access points or other network devices that are exposed to the weather.
Why Cat. 6A for outdoor use?
Cat. 6A offers a bandwidth of 500 MHz and is suitable for fast data connections. The double shielding (S/FTP) ensures that external interference does not affect signal strength, which is especially important with longer cables of 5.0 metres. This length gives you enough room to position equipment flexibly without signal loss.
IP66 water resistance in practice
The IP66 rating means that this cable is fully protected against dust and powerful water jets from all directions. The moulded plugs with gold-plated contacts and the 6.5 mm thick cable sheath make the connection resistant to rain, snow and temperature changes. Oil resistance is also built in for industrial environments.
Practical installation tip
Please note that this cable is not suitable for direct underground installation without additional protection. For overhead installations or in cable trays, the cable works excellently. The crimp and latch protection prevents damage to the RJ45 connectors during installation and daily use.
