This outdoor network cable withstands weather and wind thanks to its IP66 protection, and is waterproof and oil-resistant. With gold-plated contacts and double shielding you maintain a stable connection, even outside your office.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need an outdoor network cable?
This Cat. 6A S/FTP network cable has been specially developed for outdoor applications where ordinary network cables fail. You need this cable when you want to run an internet connection to garden sheds, workshops, cameras or other equipment outdoors. Thanks to its special protection against water and oil, you can safely use this cable in environments where moisture and weather conditions play a role.
Why Cat. 6A with S/FTP shielding?
The Cat. 6A standard with 500 MHz bandwidth ensures fast and stable data transfer up to 10 Gigabit. The double shielding (S/FTP) protects against electromagnetic interference, which is especially important over longer distances such as this 7.5 metre length. The copper conductors guarantee optimal signal transmission without any loss of quality.
IP66 rating for extreme conditions
The IP66 rating means that this cable is completely dust-tight and resistant to powerful water jets from all directions. The cable is also waterproof and oil-resistant, so you can use it in industrial environments or places where contact with oils is possible. Please note: the cable is not suitable for direct underground installation without additional protection.
Practical details for a durable connection
The RJ45 connectors are gold-plated for corrosion resistance and fitted with plated housings that offer extra protection against moisture. The cable has strain relief and latch protection, which means the connectors are protected against breakage and from accidentally coming loose. With a cable diameter of 6.5 mm, it is robust enough for outdoor use yet still flexible for installation.
