What does a Cat. 8.1 patch cable do?
A patch cable connects network components such as computers, switches and routers to one another. Cat. 8.1 cables are designed for the most demanding network connections, where you need extremely high speeds and reliability. This 5.0 metre length gives you sufficient flexibility for connections within server cabinets or between nearby equipment.

Why Cat. 8.1 and F/FTP shielding?
Cat. 8.1 supports frequencies up to 2000 MHz, which is considerably higher than standard office cabling. The F/FTP shielding with aluminium foil protects against electromagnetic interference that can cause problems at these high frequencies. This makes the cable suitable for professional environments where other equipment may cause interference.

Reliable materials for intensive use
The AWG 26/7 copper conductor system ensures stable signal transmission, while the gold-plated CuZnNi connectors provide corrosion resistance. The LSZH cable sheath is halogen-free, which means no toxic gases are released when heated - an important safety feature in office and server environments.

Practical compatibility
This cable features standard RJ45 connectors (8P8C) that are compatible with all common network ports. Thanks to its high-quality specifications, the cable is also suitable for lower Cat standards, so you are investing in future-proof cabling. Please note, however, that you only achieve full Cat. 8.1 performance if your entire network infrastructure supports this standard.
